Today on MYM360 – Is managing your money really that hard? I went to a speed networking event yesterday and I met some super cool ladies and I asked some of them why do you think some women, not them of course, but other women ignore their money or just don’t take it real serious until a crisis occurs and over and over I got the same answer – fear. Fear that they will make a mistake. Fear because they don’t know what to do. Fear that it’s too complicated. Fear because they are not numbers people and on and on. And it occurred to me that the financial industry is really good. They have convinced a large segment of the public that they and only they know how to take care of and grow money. And it is systematic and by design.

You see managing your money is a learned skill – like driving or cooking. No one pops out of the womb with money management knowledge. We have to learn it and since they don’t teach it in schools everyone has their own version of street smarts when it comes to managing money. If you hung out with the right people at the right time, you learned good stuff and you are probably on a good track. But if you hung out with the wrong people at the wrong time, you probably have a very different money life.

My point is don’t believe that you can’t do this yourself because if you can. If you can take care of yourself and count to 10 you can manage your money. And, if you don’t want to manage it yourself, you still need to hone your skills so you can manage the people who manage it for you.   I’m a money coach and I help people get to where they want to go faster. I work with business owners, individuals and couples on both the emotional side of money like demolishing fears and the practical side like creating an action plan to achieve your goals. I offer programs as well as private coaching. Sign up today for a free mini strategy consultation today and let’s talk about your money. Sign up at psworth.com/consult.

Thanks so much for listening and as always remember that minding your money really is the path to a richer life!
