When most people think about money, they immediately think about numbers — income, bills, debt, investments. But the reality is your financial life is shaped less by numbers and more by how you think and feel about money – in other words your mindset.

Hi Patricia Stallworth here, I’m a certified financial planner and I help women align their money with their goals so they can live their best lives.

And, here’s the secret tea – your mindset influences every financial decision you make which means that two people can earn the exact same amount of money but end up in completely different financial situations. How? If one believes that I have no control and “money just slips through my fingers,” and the other believes “I’m in control and I use my money for my good.” They will make different decisions which will lead to different outcomes. Beliefs drive behavior.

So if you’re not where you want to be financially, check out your mindset because it might just be the one thing that’s holding you back.
